Kelly Haley is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Leigh Griffin Rainwater. She specializes working with children aged 3-15 yrs. and adults. She has experience working with a diverse population in community agencies, private practice, schools, residential care facilities and more.
Using a holistic approach, Kelly always meets her clients based on their unique individual need and comfort level. In addition to mental health therapy she has experience with academic, career, and harm reduction counseling.
She has worked closely with parent/caregivers experiencing feelings of overwhelm, irritability, relationship conflict, inconsistent communication/parenting patterns, etc. She uses conscious principles to improve self-awareness, attunement, interpersonal skills, social emotional regulation, relationships, discipline style, parenting style and more.
Kelly is passionate, enthusiastic, and believes wholeheartedly in the power of intentional connection to support social emotional growth and healing. She is fully committed to listen and offer the best professional practices to help you and/or your loved one(s).
Intervention strategies Kelly uses towards treatment may include Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Child Centered Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy, Attachment Theory, Conscious Discipline principles, etc.
Kelly is a mother of 3, she enjoys cooking, gardening, campfires, and spending time with close friends and family.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development & Family Studies and Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with an emphasis on rural mental health, from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
